Children’s first narrative relationship with nature is traditionally through the means of fairytales and myths. „The Witch’s Forest“ goes back to the Grimm brothers and beyond. For this little forest in Wandlitz we are planning a witch’s house on legs, a bubbling cauldron, chaotic spider webs to climb about on, and witch’s familiars such as a cat, a frog, an owl and a raven and a flying broomstick. Next to the picnic table will be an interpretation panel with interesting natural-history background to those mythical creatures e.g…What do those animals have in common? …What sort of wood were broomsticks made of, and why?…
