Travel guides are usually written by experts, but wouldn’t it be interesting to hear more from the permanent residents of a region or other visitors who want to share their impressions and discoveries? Aren’t the reviews in Trip Advisor much more informative and entertaining than the blurb written by and for the hotels themselves? In connection with our theme garden ‘Havel Stories’ at the Bundesgartenschau Havelregion 2015 we developed an app for crowd-sourcing landscape experience.

Anyone can put a marker on the map and share their thoughts, tips and experiences with others, along with a photo of the place in question or themselves. It is as much about sharing associations with the landscape of a region as it is about specific sights or locations.
